Daochen Wang was a QuICS doctoral student in mathematics with interest in quantum algorithms, information and complexity. Prior to joining QuICS, he worked on near-term quantum algorithms under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Brierley at Riverlane, UK. His advisors were Profs. Andrew Childs and Carl Miller. Daochen received his PhD in Mathematics in 2023.  After completing his Ph.D., Daochen became an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of British Columbia.
