Bio
Alexander Barg has been a professor with the UMD Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Institute for Systems Research since 2003. Prior to that he worked for the Mathematical Sciences Research Center of Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, NJ. His Ph. D. degree (EE) is from the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). He served as Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Information Theory in 2018-19, and since 2020 has been EiC of Foundations and Trends in Communications and Information Theory. His research interests are in classical and quantum coding theory and algebraic combinatorics.
