Jacob was a postdoctoral scholar in the Maryland Cybersecurity Center from 2015-16. He worked on quantum-secure cryptography. His adviser was Jonathan Katz.
After QuICS, he continued on as a Computer Scientist on the NIST Post-Quantum crypto project, providing expertise in lattice-based cryptography but working in all aspects of the standardization process.
